👙 What Do I Wear to My First Class?

As short of shorts as you can possibly find!!! Boxers, swimsuits, swim trunks, and underwear are totally fine, just try to make sure you're wearing something that will keep your private parts "tucked in" and/or private for the duration of class. Nip slips happen and we don't ever even notice, let alone make a big deal about it - but tight-fitting clothing that covers all the bits is usually best, just make sure to leave as much thigh and leg skin as possible! Bring/wear socks for slidey moments, and knee pads for choreo if you have sensitive knees ! Layers are always best ;)

👧🏻 Are you kid-friendly?

I think it depends on the event, but we can be! Official kids classes are coming soooooon •ᴗ• But in the meantime, feel free to email us at hello.theatrium@gmail.com to see if it would be appropriate to bring your kiddos with you to the class you're interested in ! 𑁤

🐕 Are you dog-friendly?

We actually are! Just email us if you'd like to bring your doggo, and we'll figure out what makes sense / if the event you're inquiring about feels like it would be pet-friendly and not too overstimulating for them, or distracting to the rest of our guests.

💸 Do you have donation classes on the schedule?

We do! We want to make sure we're as accessible and affordable of a space as possible, so please reach out to us if cost is ever a barrier! We intentionally make sure that we have donation classes regularly on our schedule, which you can see at feather.rsvp, or click here.

🟥 Are You guys on Instagram?

Yes! We are on Instagram at @theatrium.space !

👁️ So - What's This Whole Thing with "For the Love of Good."? I Keep Seeing This - How Do These Connect?

GREAT Question!!! "For the Love of Everything [GOOD]." is our parent company, the LLC under which The Atrium was founded and will always exist. "For the Love of Good" (or, "FLOE", for short) is an organization that sets out to do good in the world and bring all of the things we love to people who might not otherwise have access to them, or just create pop-up events that bring community together in new / cool ways. We like to introduce Artists, Makers, Movement Artists, Performance Artists, and Creatives to one another, and do that often in our Markets, which you'll see on the calendar (either as full day standalone events, or tied to pole / yoga classes, open pole, or a Full Moon Circle). We believe it takes a village to do any of this, and that villages should be made up of people from all walks of life, so.... happy to have you joining us on this journey. You can find For the Love of Good on Instagram at @for.theloveofgood, if you're interested in more.

🚪 When Did You Officially Open?

We officially opened our doors on January 10th, 2026, and you can see fun shots from our Opening Party on Instagram, at @theatrium.space ♡

🎪 Do You Have Aerial?

💈 I've Never Taken a Pole Class Before - What Can I Expect? I'm Scared. 😰

Don't be scared!!! But also this is a totally normal and valid experience - pole is daunting! First of all, you're in incredibly good hands. Sammie ("NYMPHIE" on the schedule) is one of the sweetest and most uplifting souls you'll ever meet, and will always have options for you working into more complex shapes / shapes you've never tried before! So much of pole is learning how to overcome fear and create a mind-muscle connection, and trust between body & space, body & mind, body & body. You'll ease into new shapes slowly and with all the support - backed with years of knowledge, wisdom, and anatomy-driven, trauma-informed spotting from Sammie / NYMPHIE (and all instructors in the future), when needed. "TRICKS" classes will be very "learning new things / getting my body into this shape"-based, and "FLOW" classes are way more open-format and fluid, within which you'll be given choreography that you can either stick to exactly or deviate from on your own accord. If you've never taken a pole class before or it's been awhile, start with Pole 101 (Beginner + Fundamentals) - TRICKS. If you have or are kind of up there in your pole skills, take Pole 1&2 or Pole 2 (Intermediate + Advanced). If you're still curious about class and maybe just want to hang with / meet members of the pole community here in Bushwick, attend a Pole Jam (Note: a Pole Jam is not a class, it is a social event / hang with other pole dancers in a space with poles! Please do not try things during a Pole Jam that you've never tried before as there may not be an instructor present, but there will always be a trained spotter).

📍Where are you located?

We’re in Bushwick, Brooklyn — within walking distance of the L train.
